Firefly's stardom was because she was the lead actress in Whedon's new TV show, Firefly. Summer Glau was very good at handling the complex role as River Tam. As Tam she was required to participate in government research in which she was being prepared to become the perfect assassin. In the end, the capability of Tam to manage her feelings was removed from her. Glau could show her fight skills as well her acting skills on Firefly. The ability of Glau to fight was improved by her education to be an"Assassin. Summer Glau has been a ballerina since she was an infant.
