Annie Murphy

Annie Murphy is the name of Anne Frances Murphy who was born 19th December, 1986. The Canadian native was employed by Hollywood's film industry on many different projects. She was best known as Alexis Rose on the CBC television sitcom, Schitt's Creek which began in 2015. The show was cancelled in 2020. She got critically acclaimed for the role and received with the Primetime Emmy Award. She was born in Ottawa, Ontario in Canada. She is the daughter of two teachers. They enrolled her at Elmwood School in Ottawa where she performed in stage productions. Following her graduation from Concordia University with a theatre degree, she joined the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory. Then she attended courses in the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory from where she learned how to act. After turning 22 she moved to Los Angeles where acting became her career. Annie Murphy began her career in 2007 when she appeared on the television Lethal, a crime-thriller film Obsession. The actress went on to play smaller roles as well as additional ones in various movies. Certain of these films have been very popular, for instance Story of Jen in 2008 Lick which came out in the year 2010 and another huge hit A Windigo Tale.
